Autism is a developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life. It is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the functioning of the brain, and occurs in approximately one out of every 88 births. Autism is four times more prevalent in boys than girls and knows no racial, ethnic or social boundaries. Teachers are also taking this opportunity to educate their students about autism and promoting understanding and inclusion for their fellow classmates. We are happy to help in any way we can, by providing autism information, books & dvd’s from our lending library or by offering an autism presentation. FMI check out these resources: |
